Samia Ahmad | Professional Makeup Artist

Firstly, I have no words for Samia, because words will not do justice to her amazing work but I shall try. When I reached out to Samia, I reached out to her because her page popped up on Instagram and decided to explore. I am so happy I had clicked on her because her page was amazing! I loved her work and the fact the variety of gorgeous women with varying skin tones looked absolutely beautiful and while still looking like themselves is what caught my eye. She made me look absolutely beautiful on my very late and long over due third anniversary celebration. While she did my makeup, she did the necessary skin prep for my skin, paid a lot of attention to what looked great on me, and at the end, she worked with the features I had I still looked like myself while looking gorgeous. I rewore most of what I had worn at my wedding three years ago, but the way she brought my vision alive along with listening to how and what I wanted, I felt as beautiful as I did when I had gotten married three years ago. Samia did my hair and make up, helped with any suggestions I had regarding jewelry setting. What really touched me (on top of all the other things she did) was that after everything was done, I was wearing my wedding saree, she stayed back even though she didn’t need to, to hold my safety pins and pleats steady as I wrapped my saree, and then did a last minute touch up on my hair (which lasted all the way till midnight and my hair usually does not hold curls or maintain its volume). Ladies in NoVA and DMV, please don’t be sleeping on Samia Ahmad; she is amazing and a true delight to work with. I am so lucky that her Instagram page (@bysamiaahmad) popped up, because if that never happened I would have missed out on the opportunity of working with her. She is definitely now my go to person for makeup, hair, and skin.
